Jodie, Unlu, and Nihat,
My friend Tom Devaney and I toured with your company Sept. 7-9 and had a wonderful experience. You and your office staff were friendly and accommodating and the tours (Blue and Green) were fantastic. The landscapes and historical places we visited were awesome, quite literally - and we returned with hundreds of incredible photos - we are only sorry that we didn't get a photo of ourselves with your staff.
I REALLY want to emphasize our praise for our tour guides, Unlu, and Nihat. Not only was their knowledge of sites impressive, but we loved Unlu's outgoing and charismatic personality and Nihat's quiet charm and understated sense of humor. Tom and I had a lot of fun with both of them and hope we provided some laughs during the tour. We both tend toward being the "class clown." I specifically remember running from cave to cave in the pouring rain and thunder with Nihat, and the prayer tree at Esentepe with Unlu, who told us women came there to pray for their husbands' safe return, after which I commented, "I'll bet they come back a few years later and pray that their husbands would leave!" which gave him a laugh.
Our experience could not have been better. Additionally, our accommodations at the Aydinli Cave House was fantastic. What a lovely family hosted us there.
In closing, thanks again for making our first trip to your amazing country so fantastic and memorable. We will definitely recommend your agency to anyone we meet who is planning a similar trip. If you, Unlu or Nihat are ever in Boston (my home) or New York (Tom's home), Tom and I extend sincere invitations to provide accommodations to you so you can explore our cities as well. Seriously. Just let us know by email and we'll be sure to be in touch to make arrangements.

a short feedback:
we finished our trip yesterday and I want to tell you, that overall we were quite happy with it. The car was perfect, the driver very careful and security minded and the guide OK. Hotels were satisfactory and the overall hospitality was very good.
Our requested destination in Divrigi was obviously unknown to Rock Valley Travel, the day starting in Nemrut and ending in in Sivas was very strenous and a challenging for the driver. But in the end we had a very nice guidance through the beautiful World Heritage site in Divrigi by the manager of the mosque.
We had a very good impression of Turkey and the people there and I will recommend your agency as a good and trustful company. Thank you.

Hi Jodie,
I just wanted to let you know that we had an excellent time on our
recent tour trip to Eastern Turkey. Everything went really well
overall. I wanted to especially commend our tour guide Nihat
Yilmaz for making our trip fun and memorable and keeping all the
organization logistics in order. Without Nihat, i don't think our
trip would have been the as good as it turned out the be. He was
very receptive to any questions we had, very patient with us, and was
extremely informative with all the various history and culture of
Turkey. Plus, we used him very well as our translator!!!
Nihat was always there for us with any logistical problems (such as
hotel accomodation related issues) we had along the way, he corrected
them right away. I really think that Nihat is a definite asset
to your tour operations. He brings the kind of personable service
that is not seen all the time among other tour agencies. Having
been on a few other tours of other countries, I would have to say,
this is one of the best tours I have been on among them and I feel
that Nihat was a major reason for having such a successful trip.
The only thing that could have improved our trip is if Nihat and the
driver could have stayed at the same hotels as we did continuously
throughout the tour. We encountered some language barriers at some of
our hotels since the hotel staff did not speak English. Of course
Nihat was able to clear up any issues that arose, however I feel that
some of the issues would not have arisen had Nihat been at the same
hotel. Also Nihat was more than gracious and willing to go along with
us for dinner to explain the Turkish cuisine to us especially since
many restaurants did not have translated menus. Unfortunately he was
unable to accompany us at time because his hotel was so far from ours.

Thank you Rock Valley Travel for a wonderful, well organized trip from Istanbul to Cappadocia and Ephesus. What a great group of people to work with. Our enquiries were answered by Jodie immediately. The itinerary for a difficult tour for 5 people was flawless. The entire experience from start to finish was perfect. The flights were all timely, our meals, especially in small homes were superb. Our tour guide Selim, was the most interesting and knowlegeable, "0n fire" guide we experienced on our entire two weeks. Thank you for the incredible hot air balloon trip- a never to be forgotten experience. You have a great company and were a pleasure to work with. We would all highly recommend Rock Valley Travel to anyone visiting Turkey.

Hi Tom,
We have been home for about a month after our fantastic almost 2 month journey. I just want to let you know that because of Rock Valley Travel we are still raving about our experience in Turkey. Jodie and the staff in Urgup were fantastic. Frank and I felt that we were part of the family after having spent two days with Umleur (sp?) (our guide for two days) and Zafir (our driver). We were a small group of 6 for the first two days and the people we shared the tour with were wonderful companions. Omer was well informed and had the perfect personality for guiding our group! And then there was the balloon ride which we didn't decide to do until about a week before. Had we missed that, we would have been sorely disappointed.
Our hotel in Urgup (Esbelli) was wonderful - such friendly people and such good breakfasts!
Jodie also arranged for our time in Selcuk (Ephesus, etc.) and again we had terrific guides and a nice hotel. She also helped us with our Greek experience which is not easy that time of year with the Greek ferry schedules.
We were on our own in Istanbul, but found a walking guide one day as we walked up the street at "Walk about Tours". Our guide for the day was great.
We have told ourselves that we must get back to Turkey - with more time in Istanbul. What an interesting country. We are now embarking on our study of ancient history!
